My Momma's Matzo-Ball Soup Recipe

 

Boil one large whole chicken in water with a bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste for approximately two hours.
 
Slice thin rounds from two carrots, and one large stalk of celery.
 
Make 6 balls for 2 people Manischevitz knedlech(matzo-balls) according to recipe. Let sit twenty minutes, then add to soup.
 
Eat for Shabos dinner. Always make enough for Saturday leftovers or you'll never hear the end of it :)
